Personal Experience Our experience on Tirana's River We made our way across the boulevard,passed another street and an old bridge came on sight.. From what we could see, the river was trashed, full of garbage and sewage that had accumulated over the years even though a project was made to fix the pedestrian path.. The Effects of this Pollution The careless dumping of waste and garbage into the Tirana s River has detrimental effects on the surrounding community, many of which the contributors may not be entirely aware of. What is worse many of these people have not been educated on how the river’s poor health can affect them if they totally forget about the river. Finally, the clearest and most obvious effect of the pollution of the river is the inability for wildlife to survive in or around it, which I saw firsthand.
